At our Sasso Piatto alpine hut on Alpe di Siusi we serve dishes we enjoy ourselves: homemade Schlutzkrapfen ravioli, dumplings with finely hacked pine needles and lamb ragout, grilled goats cheese salad, mutton, meat from our own farm, South Tyrol Marende snack with Speck bacon, fresh vegetables and crisp lettuce from our own fields, homemade apple strudel and other delicious South Tyrolean sweet pastries, as well as other good honest rustic dishes. We love searching through grandma’s cookbook for traditional South Tyrolean dishes, to which we add the finest Mediterranean herbs.
