Current weather
This afternoon, widespread rain showers – some of them heavy – and thunderstorms are expected, whilst a strong, gusty north wind will pick up. In the evening, the weather will ease off, starting from the west.
Temperatures
The maximum temperatures range from 22° in the Wipptal to 30° in the Unterland.
Next evolution
On Friday, it will remain sunny across most of South Tyrol, whilst it will be cloudier along the main Alpine ridge, where a few raindrops are also expected.
On Saturday, the sun will shine again across the whole region, with largely cloudless skies. In the north of South Tyrol, the Föhn wind will continue.
It will remain sunny on Sunday too, with temperatures rising slightly.
The sunny weather will continue on Monday.

A cold front is reaching the Alps and will move across South Tyrol during the course of the day.
Around midday, the first rain showers or thunderstorms will develop in the western mountain ranges. In the afternoon, heavy thunderstorms will sweep through the region. As the front passes through, a strong northerly wind will pick up.
Mountain weather tomorrow
A northerly flow is bringing moderately warm air masses into the Alpine region.
The sun is likely to shine all day, with any remaining morning clouds from the weather front clearing away. With a northerly wind, it will be cooler than it has been recently.
