The „ Langkofel“ and „ Plattkofel“ round
Walking time: 5-6 hours
The walk is appropriate for every average mountain hiker.
Descriptiion:
When looking from the Seiser Alp the „ Langkofel“-group only seems to consist of the „Langkofel“ and the „Plattkofel“.
Yet in reality we not only circle the „Plattkofel“, but also a lot of other peaks, which rise betueem the „Plattkofel“ and the „Langkofel“.
This long tour leads the „Sellajoch“- house (2.180m) through stoned city (way number 526) to the E.Comici hut (2.153m) and then to the „Langkofel“- hut (2.253m).
( or with the cable car to the Toni Demetz hut „Langkofel“nick „Langkofel“ hut )
Here rise „Langkofel“, „Fünffingerspitze“ and „Langkofelkarspitze“ above us but then the enormous „Plattkofel“ dominates our continuing way.
There we step on the famous „Friedrich August“ way (nr 557), which leads us from the soud side of the „Langkofel“ group with great view to the glacial „Marmolada“ and surmounted by the „Langkofel“, „Innerkoflerturm“, „Grohmannspitze“ and „Fünffingerspitze“ back to the „Sellajoch“.
